Experience Dahilayan Adventure

One of the nice places to visit when you are in Cagayan de Oro is Dahilayan Forest and Adventure Park located in Barangay Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. It is nestled at the foot of Mount Kitanglad and it is just an hour drive from Cagayan de Oro.

My family and I last went there December 20, 2013 but decided not to stay overnight because it was crowded since it was a holiday in the Philippines. We didn’t even had a chance to do their famous Zipline (…to my eldest daughter’s disappointment) because it was already fully-booked hence the long line. We promised to go back in there to really experience the adventure and hope we can do that by next month.

To those who did not yet see Dahilayan but wanted to know what’s in Forest Park, it offers ATV and Buggy Trail Adventure, Barrel Train, Tree Top Adventure, Zorb. There’s also Forest Park Cafe if want to eat your lunch or snacks and if you want to stay there for a night, they have nice accommodations to offer but better book ahead to make sure you have a room to stay. Dahilayan Adventure Park is just beside the Forest Park but it is in here where you get to experience their famous Longest Zipline. And if you plan to stay in one of their cottages, you get to get a discount in all their rides.

I included some of our pics in here but if you want to know more about Dahilayan, visit their sites at Dahilayan Forest Park and Dahilayan Adventure Park.

Seagull Mountain Resort

For 2 years in a row, we spent our Christmas vacation in Davao City when my father was still alive. He was assigned to work there and instead of going home, he asked us to go there to spend Christmas with him. And when it was time for us to go home to Cagayan de Oro, he came with us to spend New Year’s day. But along the way, we stopped by one scenic place between Bukidnon and Davao. The restaurant and the view was a sight to behold. It’s called Seagull Mountain Resort. This place looks different now when I browsed at my laptop but it was still beautiful. We stopped by in here to take a short break and to eat at their resto. I’m not so sure if I want to come back to this beautiful place again for it will just remind me of my dad and of how much I missed him…
