The first place I visited in the US was San Francisco. My mom, aunt (sister of my dad) and I stayed at my mom’s cousin. She and her family was kind enough to accommodate and toured us around their place. Of course we didn’t miss to see the magnificent Golden Gate bridge. But there were plenty of people (tourists) at that time so we decided to have our picture taken when were were below the bridge.

Before my youngest daughter was born, we had a family get-away at Xavier Estates, Cagayan de Oro City. Although we live in this city, it was also nice to experience rest and relaxation once in awhile. We wanted to go back to this beautiful place again and bring baby Zoe with us.

Xavier Sports and Country Club (or Xavier Estates for short) is located at Airport Road and is just a 5-minute drive at the city’s domestic airport and 15 minutes away from downtown area. It has nearby schools, mall, church, gasoline station and golf course. You can ride a taxi going there or a jeepney or you can rent a car to explore the city’s best. While you are at the club, you can enjoy availing their amenities like swimming at the pool, play bowling, etc. You can see the panoramic view of Cagayan de Oro like the Macajalar Bay and CDO river.
Davao City is one of the places I’d like to see again. In my other entry, I’ve mentioned that my family spent Christmas in Davao 2 years in a row (when I was still single). There were so many things that you can see in Davao but we haven’t got the chance to see all of them because of a very limited time.
My next visit with the family was on a Holy Week. That was the time my dad was seriously ill. We traveled to Davao from Cagayan de Oro to fetch him. That was a sad experience but let me just dwell on the good times. Pictures below were taken at Zugba. I don’t know if this resto is still there but all I can say is that their food was superb! I could still remember the yummiest prawns served to us. My next visit to Davao was with my hubby and the last one was with my classmates from nursing school.
